Kids Nature Activity Book

The new FREE Moore River Kids Nature Activity Book was launched on Monday 10th April in Guilderton with Percy the Pelican acting as a fitting mascot . This new booklet has hours of fun and interesting activities for kids young and old with lots of spotting and learning about local birds, flora, river features and safety, Noongar culture, night stalking and stargazing.

There were fun activities on offer in Gabbadah Park on Easter Monday including making Percy hats! Fred Mogridge (Yued Elder) gave a welcome and shared local culture with the group.

Many thanks to the workers from MCC and GVC and the State Natural Resource Management Program WA for funding this project and everyone who came along and had some Percy fun!

Booklets are available FREE from the Guilderton Visitor Centre, IGA shop and the Roadhouse.

Don’t forget to complete each activity and get a stamp – available from the booklet outlets. When 10 activities are completed, Coastcare Heros get a certificate from GVC too!
