Guilderton Cleans Up again!

On Sunday 3rd March 2019, Guilderton joined in the national Clean Up Australia Day.

A team of 8 came along in boats and cleaned the banks of the estuary, a group of 8 4WDrivers cleaned the track between Seabird and Guilderton, while another group of 8 took trailers and cleaned the road into town from the highway.

Beldon Scouts (12 Scouts and 4 leaders) came to help again, camping in Silver Creek and cleaning up the roads and foreshore of that part of town. And then some more helpers came along and took bags onto the beach, picnic areas, carparks and some streets in town.

Guilderton Country Club provided a free sausage sizzle for all participants followed by watermelon and icy poles for the hungry workers.

All up 48 rubbish collectors turned up, all put in a great effort and should feel very satisfied with the team result for the day, flling a skip bin provided by the Gingin Shire. Our town is sparkling again.
