Bush Medicine Workshop Causes a Stir

Bush Medicine Workshop drew a huge crowd to Guilderton to hear Noongar author Viv Hansen impart her knowledge of bush medicine. This was very much a hands on workshop with the making of a balm for tired muscles, a pot-pourri of plants to help respiratory and sleep issues and a cream of Eucalyptus and lemon grass. It was funded by the State Natural Resource Management Program, Royalties for Regions, the Northern Agricultural Catchments Council and National Landcare Program. The Guilderton Community Association is very grateful to these organisations for their funding, and to Rachel Walmsley, Natural Resources Manager, Moore Catchment Council, for her hard work organising this event. Thanks also go to the Guilderton Country Club for providing the venue. Judging by the popularity and success of this workshop, it will be repeated again in the future.

Moore Catchment Council have published the following media release, which tells you all about the day…
