12 Jun Beaches & Bush Tucker in Guilderton June 2021
Northern Agricultural Catchment Council (NACC) launched their Northern Agricultural Region vision (NARvis) with a Beaches & Bush Tucker presentation in Guilderton on 11th June 2021. People from Perth to Geraldton enjoyed a wonderful presentation followed by a delicious and varied Wild Foods morning tea with Tim and Jane from In The Wylde. Dune planting with Rachel and Helen from Moore Catchment Council (MCC) and a boat ride with Cooky (Moore River Tours) followed. Lunch was served at the Country Club. Linda Johnson gave a talk illustrated by videos to show what Friends of Moore River Estuary are doing to protect the south bank of Moore River. Her presentation was well received.
There was a good turnout which included 5 NACC representatives from Geraldton (including Chair Rob Keogh), Jurien Bay Parks and Wildlife, MCC’s Rachel Walmsley and Helen Watkins, Conservation Council WA’s Nic and Alison Dunlop, Noongar Elder Charlie Shaw, Margie Shaw, WA Landcare network’s Kylie Payne, locals Linda Buxton, Anne Gilkes, Elizabeth Eaton, Elaine McCartin, Bob and Linda Johnson and a few from other towns.
