Moore Art

Moore Art is a subcommittee of the Guilderton Community Association (GCA) and our aim is to promote local art and artists. Our annual event is the Easter Arts Exhibition on Easter Saturday. Local Arts have been a focus of effort in this community for over twenty-five years. Over this time, we have exhibited works in the full range of categories – paintings, ceramics, woodwork, textiles and photography. The theme of the work should be art of the area or from artists who live in the area, and the work will be generally considered as having artistic value.

We also hold markets during the summer period. The aim of these markets is to showcase and sell local handcrafted items. We host at least one coffee/drinks van and a community sausage sizzle. Markets will start up again each year around September and run through until Easter. Usually on long weekends and school holidays in September, December, January, March and April. The main theme is handmade items but we have expanded to natural healing services, honey, jams, preserves and chilies.

We post on our frontpage about the next market information.
