Friends of Moore River Estuary
Who are we? Local people and visitors who wish to see the protection of the estuary for the future.
Since it was first rezoned (from Rural to Urban) in 1994, we have been opposed to a new suburb being built at Moore River South.
After many twists and turns in the Planning process, and watching recent developments around Two Rocks, we have realised that the best protection for the estuary is to make a National Park.
Please see our website at guildertonwa.com.au for more information.
Now we are making a very big push to see the real protection of the estuary by the creation of Wilbinga National Park.
The petition to make Wilbinga National Park is https://www.parliament.wa.gov.au/Parliament/LCePetitions.nsf/petitions/25-0032
FOMRE would really appreciate all the signatures we can get by early 2026.
Only WA residents can sign but anyone over 18 can go online for us and WA!!
We will be releasing a film soon and also have another petition on Change.org
If you appreciate the wonderful place that the estuary is, then please support us!
