What We Do

In order to carry out these aims the association is engaged in a broad range of activities, including:

  • bringing items of town maintenance to the attention of the Shire;
  • liaising with the Shire of Gingin in relation to large projects for town improvements;
  • carrying out small maintenance projects around town;
  • organising of community events and participation in community events; and
  • organising and participation in land-care projects in partnership with Moore Catchment Council and Northern Agricultural Catchment Council.

Additionally, sub-committees of the association are responsible for providing many services within town, namely, the Visitor Centre, the Library and Moore Arts, which is responsible for much of the public art in town.

If you wish to visit either the Visitor Centre or the Library, they can be found on Edwards Street on the foreshore, next to the Caravan Park. The Visitor Centre is open 9.00am to 12.00pm weekends, public holidays and school holidays, and the Library is open on Saturday mornings between 10.00am and 12.00pm.

The Guilderton Community Association also works closely with other organisations in town, such as Friends of Moore River Estuary, the Country Club, Lower Moore River Working Group and Moore Men’s Shed.
